WOS Town Square review, and WOS Finale huge feature!

Today is dedicated to one of the greatest action figure lines of all time - the World of Springfield. With over 200 figures, and over 3 dozen playsets, it's a truly amazing accomplishment in today's action figure market. The final playset, the Town Square with Jebediah Springfield, is now shipping, and I have a review of it up, along with a couple other items.

I also have a huge feature - huge - on a trip through the history of the line. Even with as large as the feature is, I left out dozens and dozens of thoughts, stories, anecdotes and details, easily enough to fill a book. And I just might do that, if there's enough interest. But for now, sit back in a comfortable chair with a glass of wine or a good beer, and enjoy reading about some of the highlights of close to a five year run of this amazing series.

Then there's the review of the Town Square itself of course. It's not the greatest set ever, but it's a fitting end to the line, and even contains lines of some figures we'll never get to see. Due to the timing of when I started the 'official' mwctoys.com and when the first series of WOS hit, that series was the only one to never get a review on the site, so I've gone back and done a retro review, complete with a link to the original message board review I did for comparison.

And finally, I've put together a page of just all the Simpsons links from the last five years in one place, to make it easier to find them all. Come celebrate the end of an era!

Well, with most of the tough figures from the first couple figures getting released again in the next few weeks, and all the people dumping collections on ebay right now, this is the time to buy!

Michael I've gotta totally unrelated question here. About Sideshow's regular & Final Battle Kroenen: Can a pistol fit into the hands or are they shaped only for this blades?

Michael.... there's one critical thing that is missing......

A Pic of THE ENTIRE CITY assembled from all the playsets. [img]wink.gif[/img]

That would REALLY underscore the variety of cool playsets that have been made. (Main Street being one of the coolest.) I've always thought the ultimate simpsons collection room would have a shelf that runs all the way around the perimeter of the room, with cartoonesqe sky painting behind it, all the playsets ringing around the room, and then carded figures above and below.
